We have been contacted by a distressed customer from London. She was visited by two men calling themselves “chimney sweeps”. They had quoted her £45 to sweep the chimney. They called her to the room with the fireplace and produced a dead pigeon. They then told her the chimney was blocked with a nest and they’d need to go on the roof. The cost would now be £250. She was suspicious, saying she did not think there was a nest as she’d not seen any and how could the bird get through a nest anyway? She sent them away but discovered later they’d tried the same thing on her neighbour. We searched for the name of the company but found nothing.
