Joe has developed the course whilst observing and assisting with Guild training over the last couple of years. He brings his extensive skills gained from a long and successful career in Financial Services, leading and motivating teams, and blended all this with his more recent experiences of small business. All the elements of his own successful sweeping business are covered in this workshop.
Joe says: The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps has a long and successful history of training new sweeps, and many have gone on to establish robust and profitable businesses. However, I am mindful that not everyone starting out and who attends the Masterful Sweeping Course may have started a new business or been self-employed before.
To give new Chimney Sweeps the best start in their venture, I am pleased to announce a new one-day course. The New Business Start-up Workshop focuses on how to set up, develop and run a successful business. The workshop focuses on designing, starting and establishing a business. It will assist you in understanding how different business models operate and what you can learn from them to feed into your own business offering. Time will be spent on helping you establish your own business plan. We will look at how to generate client leads and what to do once you have them.
There are also top tips on cost savings and how you can get more out of the money you spend to operate your new venture, how to best use your accountant and even some time saving tips around your bookkeeping. The workshop is being run in a classroom so we can do some group working and focus on the areas that really matter to you.
This workshop is open to any new Sweep who has recently (within the last year or so) completed the Masterful Chimney Sweeping Course and is looking to firmly establish their new business.
Places on this workshop are limited, there is an excellent discount for the first course and candidates will be accepted on a first come – first served basis.
