The Chesford Grange is a charming Tudor-style Manor House has a perfect mix of traditional and modern rooms and suites – for everything from romantic getaways to business breaks and family fun-time.

The 2024 Guild Exhibition was another great success. So many chimney sweeps getting togther to see the latest equipment at the Trade Stands, the legendary Van of Year Competition, finished off with the excellent Gala Dinner and Raffle!

Session 1: Cowl manufacturing in the UK with Q&A – Midtec

Show favourite Midtec return with a short presentation about cowl paint that doesn’t delaminate, and the Midcat catalytic purifier. Followed by Q & A

Van of the Year Competition 2023 – open to any sweep

Session 1: CPL

Smokeless fuels: What are they and how are they made? Different fuels, different use. This presentation is based on the one given to visitors on the tour of CPL briquetting works.

Session 2: Stove Industry Alliance

The Stove Industry Alliance exists to promote and explain the benefits of wood-burning stoves and biomass appliances. The SIA is an alliance of manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, independent retailers, advisory/test house bodies, sweep associations and other interested parties

Judging on Friday at 2pm & Saturday at 1.30pm

Van of the Year Competition 2024 – 1st prize £250 – Runner Up £100

Session 3: BFCMA – The importance of lobbying

Building, product and installation  standards dictate the way in which chimneys and flues can be installed and maintained. The new annex to BSEN15287 Design, installation & commissioning of chimneys and Document J are due to be revised this year. Defra are promoting the need to maintain chimneys. Charity Raffle 2024

The raffle draw is held at the Gala Dinner on Saturday. A big thank you to all our fantastic show exhibitors and friends for their wonderful donations. In recent years, the Guild has helped raise over £10 000 for Carbon Monoxide Awareness and Support charity – CO-Gas Safety.
