Thatch, Fire Safety and Chimney Issues
The Thatch Advice Centre was established over 10 years ago by thatchers and home owners to give useful advice on thatched properties. It has grown into a respected resource which offers people free relevant, practical and up to date information so that they can make informed decisions on thatched properties. This obviously includes chimneys.
Thatch Fire Safety advice has always been high on the agenda and so the strong link with the chimney sweeps and associated trades was made. We have been working together for the good of thatch since then. Our Thatch Directory has also given Associates a platform where they can advertise their skills to a niche market.

- Delve into some of the regular issues which arise around thatch properties and chimneys. These vary from insurance requirements to installations or building regulation queries. Also, how some of the situations which arise have no easy answer and where our knowledge and understanding have helped to give options on solutions.
