Because the most popular annual event in the chimney sweeping industry’s calendar is here!
We’re just days away from welcoming you at the door of the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth for the Great Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps Trade Exhibition 2019.
Every year we rightly claim each show is the best yet but this year, it really is! Everything is fully booked up and it’s all ready: exhibitors lined up with the latest tech and gear with bargains galore; competitions aplenty; seminars on the NVQ and BurnRight; and the wonderful Gala dinner with a casino and – thanks to the band Grooveology – an awful lot of groovy dancing!
The team behind the trade show work extremely hard to make it an enjoyable event for members and there’s no doubt their hard work will pay off over the weekend.
And what is the theme of the trade show this year? – Culture, Identity and Ambition. Lawson Wight, Guild chairman, says: “The Guild have a unique culture, a definite identity and some serious ambition.
“We believe that the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps, the premier trade association for chimney sweeps, is in a new season as the industry faces various challenges.
“Chimney sweeping has never been so important (the Government has officially stated that in the recent Clean Air Strategy!) and the future of our trade – protecting lives from carbon monoxide poisoning and chimney fires – has never been so important. Educating and even training our customers so they create much less unnecessary air pollution is easy for us to do and it’s good for everyone.
“And so the Guild trade show heralds a new era of professionalism as we look to keep working together as a community, supporting each other to be the best we can for consumers, and to earn an honest living for our families.
“Chimney sweeping is becoming (at last!) a respected trade amongst Government authorities and the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps is at the forefront when it comes to voicing the perspective of our members.
