EVERYONE makes New Year’s resolutions at this time of year (to state the obvious).

So take a moment to read three resolutions made by the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps. Actually, ‘resolutions’ may not be the correct term because they are more reminders of our commitment to members.

Don’t forget there are numerous benefits to joining the Guild and do take a moment to to remind yourself of these attributes of membership (read more here). In general terms, however, here’s to recall our long-term dedication to our sweeps:-

Professional training as offered by the Guild is considered by the wider industry to provide premier educational opportunities within the chimney sweeping trade. We arrange a wide range of courses for members ranging from A to Z basics, to refreshers, to CCTV and chimney integrity, to trainer sessions. Qualified and seasoned trainers lead the courses at specially designated training courses, supported by examiners. We know you take your profession seriously and we are serious about educating you, to help your business.

Technical and business support – the Guild is overseen by master chimney tradesmen who understand fully the challenges of running a local business. We know how difficult it can be! That’s why the Guild is focused on both updating and informing members of new technology and making you aware of any changes. We also give personal business support whenever it is needed – just get in touch.

Quality member services – please do have a recap by clicking on the link above to benefits in joining. Even if you’ve been a member for a long time, it’s worth a reminder. We create training opportunities, foster Guild communities on a local and national level and promote the trade to government authorities. We also run the Findachimneysweep and Burnright websites, in support of our members’ businesses and the interests of the trade, as well as consumers.

Members of the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps belong to a trade association which truly has their professional welfare at heart – and that’s as true for 2019, as it is any other year!
